Resources

As well as the resources below you can explore our scrapbook of references, things we have encountered and bits of work we are developing.

The Community Darkroom

The community darkroom is run by a group of committed volunteers. It has 6 enlargers for black and white photographic printing - you can find out more on the dedicated instagram about the space and membership.

Braeval Street Studios

Braeval Street Studios are 9 affordable studios, housed in a disused car garage / old laundry. Current studio holders include Luke Roberts, Mari Phillips, Racheal Helena Welsh, Freya Dooley, George Manson, George Keane, Jasmine Wood and Simon Murray.

We do not currently have any spaces available, but get in touch if you would like to be added to the waiting list.

RISO Printing

Pam hosts and collaborates with Biscuits Press, who prints books, multiples and pamphlets for artists using RISO, and run ad hoc workshops.

Radio

Pam runs regular radio based projects and events using both FM and digital streaming. In particular we gather around the summer and winter solstice, where we commission new work each year.

Sound Studio

The Sound Studio is based at Braeval Street Studios. There is a basic set up for podcasting, sound and music recording, and it can be booked through contacting us below.

Community Garden

The community garden is part of Braeval Street Studios. It is maintained by a group of volunteers, and is used throughout the year by creative groups.

Library

The library is live and ever evolving, and includes a space to browse and read the books. It’s a mix of craft, contemporary art, theory and just books we love, and it’s accessible to anyone with an interest.

Many of the books have been suggested by previous artists in residence. If there is a book you think should be in the collection, or that would be useful to your practice that you can’t afford, get in touch as we may be able to access it for you.
