Climate Cooks at A Million Acts of Hope

In May 2026, millions of people came together across the UK to show that hope can be louder than hate. The Climate Cooks were thrilled to be invited to provide the food at the Cardiff event, organised by City of Sanctuary and the Trinity Center.

The event was a great success with a variety of the community in attendance. The Trinity Centre was filled with stalls, and information stands from a wide variety of community groups. Music was provided by Oasis One World Choir, The Singing Circle and Jibol.

Climate Cooks had a fantastic day and provided pakoras, falafel with yogurt dip, and samosas; sheer chai and Tanzanian chai for 150 people. They chatted through the day with the public about the project, and ways of limiting your climate impact through growing your own, reducing food waste, and sharing what you have! :)

We were really happy to have been supported through the Gwendoline and Margret Davies Charity to cover the costs of the Climate Cooks planning the event, editing and bringing together the recipes, and attending.
